About The Role
As a Leave of Absence Specialist at Procare HR, you will oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and Short-Term/Long-Term Disability plans. This includes processing timely notifications and communications with client employees and supervisors regarding leaves and absences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement leave administration tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Communicate with employees regarding leave needs and modified work schedules.
  • Ensure employee awareness of leave responsibilities and required documentation.
  • Manage FMLA leave process from initial notice to return to work.
  • Maintain communication with employees on leave and relay information to managers.
  • Advise on leave laws interaction with paid time off, workers' compensation, and disability benefits.
  • Oversee return-to-work process for employees returning from extended leave.
  • Track LOA, pay, and attendance in HRIS.
  • Collaborate on ADA accommodation requests.
  • Maintain accurate leave and accommodation records in compliance with legal requirements.

This Role is a Good Fit if You

  • A high school diploma
  • Possess 3+ years of experience managing leave of absence in a multi-state setting, with familiarity with FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, STD, LTD, and other paid leave programs
  • Have basic understanding of OSHA regulations and benefit plans is preferred
  • Are proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), UKG preferred and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have a customer-focused mindset with the ability to form a deep understanding of client/employee needs, empathetic engagement, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Are a strong analytical thinker able to assess compliance issues and identify root causes.

The salary range for this role is $50,000-$65,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth and years of experience, certifications, and specific location.
